Here at Sleepurrz, we believe in promoting and rewarding those who do good works in the area of animal welfare and rescue.  The links on this page are provided through either personal experience from us, or our family and friends.  If you have a no-kill shelter/rescue group you would like to highlight here, please contact us. 

Our favorite no-kill shelter in nearby Ft. Walton Beach, Florida.  Save our Cats and Kittens (SOCKS).  SOCKS is helping the Sleepurrz family with a stray mama and 6 kittens that showed up at our shop a few weeks ago.  Even to the point of providing us with some nutritional supplements until they can free up some space for them.  Please visit their site by clicking on the logo below, and donate if you can.  They have a wonderful Thrift Shop that accepts household goods and, of course, basic shelter items like newspapers, food, litter, bleach, blankets, etc.  They even have an ongoing aluminum can drive, so if you find yourself short on cash, it's easy to help them out anyway. 

The best resource we have found for feral cat information and links to no-kill shelters all across the country.  Again, these folks were instrumental in the trapping and care of the family that showed up at the Sleepurrz shop.  This site guides you step by step instructions for the humane trapping and taming of feral cats and kittens, and even has plans for constructing a simple trap.  Please visit them by clicking on the link below.
